Having visited the Big Apple in May 2006 for the first time, I found myself enormously disappointed and thought of it as a place that symbolically reeked of a Nation’s decay. Four months later, I was back in its orchard inspired maze and simply fell in love with it! Almost possessed I found myself rushing from avenue to avenue to places tucked away from most tourist trails, capturing during three days photographically my love affair. Almost possessed I found myself rushing from avenue to avenue to places tucked away from most tourist trails, capturing during three days photographically my love affair. Back home I downloaded 2500 images and was astonished that most of them turned out not to be just happy snaps but where much deeper, embracing the subject with art.
Having not photographed for almost thirty years, those three days in New York bore in me a new desire to capture life and living through photographic lenses.
